Dear Marist Music friends, we’re pleased to announce a major upgrade to the Marist Music Website. Thank you for dropping by. This new site addresses two key limitations of the previous site

Finding Music

Most visitors come to our site looking for music suited to a particular occasion—Ordinary Time, Lent, Advent, a feast day, or the upcoming Sunday. This new site is designed to support all users equally, regardless of whether you are familiar with the liturgical calendar or not. We provide a number of ways to search for music from the site catalogue. See below for instructions and examples using video.

Retrieval

Once you have located the track/s you need, you have the option to open a dedicated page where you can:

Play and listen to the track directly in the browser
Download the audio file
Download accompanying sheet music (PDF)

If you are looking for music for a particular date or if you are not familiar with litrugical music, we highly recommend searching by the calendar date. On the desktop, click on the calendar icon below and then click on the date. On mobile expand the 'Best Used' button and then select the calendar icon. All music associated with that date will be displayed in the search result.

Search Method 3: Advanced searching using specific filter options.

The header menus provides a oneclick way to navigate and retrieve all tracks relevant to a chosen occasion (e.g. Lent) or music type (e.g. Responsorial Pslams).
When an occasion or genre needs narrowing (e.g., Year A or Week 12 of Ordinary Time), you can apply filters to refine the results—down to a subset of tracks or even a single one.

Categories of Music

Marist Music is grouped into four main categories:

Responsorial Psalms
GospelBased Chants
Hymns
Mass Settings.

Music by type menu

The Music by Type dropdown menu allows visitors to browse music by category and then refine results using filters.

For example, a user can:

Retrieve all Responsorial Psalms
Filter for Year A
Filter again by Occasion (e.g., Lent)
Further narrow by Week (if multiple weeks apply)

Users can even locate a Responsorial Psalm for an upcoming Sunday or fortnight.

A new capability allows searching by liturgical source—e.g., John, Matthew, or specific Psalm numbers. Chapter and verse references are now included as informative details, though searching by chapter/verse is not yet available.
